Group Details For Philosophy for Beginners

Group Description :
Meeting in Ramsbottom Library (fully accessible) every 3rd Thursday in the month, we'll explore some of life’s big questions, (with some help from philosophers through history): Topics such as: How can we “know” anything? What is happiness? Is life absurd? What does living “a good life” mean? How can we explain suffering? What is reality? What is a “good” argument? What is consciousness? Is evil “real”? No philosophy background needed – just a curious, enquring mind!
